Recent Hauls :)

Hey there, lovelies! :) I'm back with what I'm known for. HAULS! Tehe :) These photos are collective photos. Meaning I bought them at different times and I'm just now showing you girls!!

All of this is from drugstore.com. I love that website because it has SO many products that I can't find in stores. :) I really needed a toner and I had heard great things about witch hazel. I was a bit turned off by the fact that it has 14% alcohol in it, but I thought it wouldn't have so many awesome raves for nothing! :D HOWEVER, to my dismay, it didn't work out for me :( Review on that later on! I also wanted to try out Certain Dri because I'll admit it, I perspire a little TOO much ): I remembered watching a video of a guru on YouTube raving about this product so I decided to give it a try. You swipe it on a few times at night before you go to bed and it's supposed to shrink your pores or something. I've only used it for about 2 days and it's actually working! :D I got that Clean&Clear gel thing because Salicylic (sp?) Acid isn't working for me, so I hope Benozoyl Peroxide will! I got that Gilette Face&Body Wash sample as a freebie. Obviously I'm not a guy so I gave it to my boyfriend! :)

These are my today's purchases with the exception of the Mandom Cleansing Express Cleansing Lotion :) I went to Ulta and and Bed, Bath & Beyond! See that little cup right there with the adorable fishies on the side!? :D That now stores all my face brushes! :D Awesome buy for $2.99! I got some Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion because I realized I'm guilty of not moisturizing my body as much as I should ): Since the witch hazel toner from the above picture didn't work out for me, I decided to get that Olay Refreshing Toner to give it a go :) I'm going to use it in a bit and see how it works out for me :D If anyone watches MakeupByLeinaBaaaby, you girlies know she LOVES Fairest Nude lipstick by Revlon. I decided to get one myself and see what the hype's all about and OMG I LOVE IT AS WELL! :D It glides on soooo smooth and is the perfect shade of nude :) Weeeeeee.

That's it, ladies :) Stay tuned for my blog sale :D

Hmm.. to start a blog sale or not to start a blog sale?

Wednesday, July 29, 2009
That is the question!

I have a bunch of stuff that's nearly brand new that I just don't use including LOTS of liquid foundation (I bought them and it wasn't my shade at all!), a few lipsticks, and MAC blush.

Would you girls be interested in a blog sale in the above items? I don't want to take the time to set it up and take photos if no one is going to buy. ):

Review: ELF Complexion Perfection

Sunday, July 26, 2009
Here you are, ladies! This is what many of you have been asking for! :) My review on the ELF's Complexion Perfection.

What the website says: Create a balanced and radiant complexion that is beautiful and healthy. The lightweight formula evens out the skin tone and absorbs excess oil. The sheer formula brightens, mattes and neutralizes the skin.

Website's directions: Blend the powder over the entire face to brighten and even out the skin tone as well as neutralize any redness.

Ingredients: Mica, Talc, Magnesium Myristate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Nylon-12, Titanium Dioxide, Octyldodecanol, Dimethicone, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Silica, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Boron Nitride.

Price: $3.00USD

My thoughts: All of the reviews I've read about this products says it's almost HG status. For me, it's just an alright product. Sure, it does somewhat brighten up my face however if you use TOO much, it really gives you a sort of white cast over your face. Maybe I'm just heavy handed, but I always end up just looking somewhat washed out. The green shade to conceal redness is nothing special. It doesn't cover all of the redness around my nose area. Another thing, it's veryyyyyyyyy messy. ONE swipe with my brush and there's powder everywhere. For the price, it's a good purchase if you are light handed and know how to apply it properly. I guess I'm the odd one out on this product. *Shrug. So, will I buy it again? Not really. Anyone want to buy it off of me? LOL.

P.S. Just a little side note, I just bought Missha's BB cream :D I'm so excited to receive it and give it a try!

Yay, haul time :)

I'm amazed ELF finally did something about their terrible shipping times! It used to take 2+ weeks to get my orders and this time, it only took a week! :D So happy because I've been dyingggg to try out the flat top powder brush and complexion perfection from their studio line! Here's some pictures :) They gave me a $5 giftcard to celebrate their 5 year anniversary! Yayyyy! I'm so excited because they also have $1.98 shipping right now for orders of $15 or more using the gold EGSHIPT. :) I will review some of the stuff soon. I just washed my brushes right now to get the shedded hairs and nasty smell out! D:

My initial thoughts? The regular line face brushes sorta suck. They're prickly to the skin but soft to the touch? Do you get that? Haha. I'm hoping after it's done drying, it'll be a little bit softer but if it isn't, then ehhh they were only $1 a piece! =P The flat top powder brush is OMFG AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGLY SOFT<3 My friend already told me how soft it would be but I didn't know it would be THIS soft. o__o I'm soooo excited to apply the mineral foundation I got with this brush tomorrow :)

Holy crap!

It has been a longgggggggggggggggg ass time since I updated this thing! :| It's because my makeup routine has been basically just MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack and Maybelline's Pulse Perfection mascara. I have no motivation to put on e/s nowadays - I HAVE NO IDEA WHY!

So, I'm hearing ALL these raves about Revlon's Colorstay liquid foundation so for the past 3 weeks, I've been on a mission trying to find my shade! I've been through at least 5 different bottles AND NONE OF THEM FIT ME RIGHT! I guess I've gotten darker since summer started. I had to mix two shades (Sand Beige and Natural Tan) to get something close to the shade I am. HOWEVER, I noticed that one of the shades is the normal/dry formula and the other is the oily/combo formula. I'm scared to mix formulas so I have to once again go back and pick up the lighter shade in the normal/dry formula! Sighhh* So much money spent trying to find my perfect shade BUT IT'SO WORTH IT because I absolutely LOVE this liquid foundation. It applies like a dream with my Studio Tools Duo Fiber brush and doesn't break me out like MAC Studio Fix.

OH, speaking of MAC Studio Fix! I never told you girls what happened, huh? WELL, before I even bought my SF, I read reviews and it seemed like half of the girls that reviewed it broke out due to their SF. I really liked the coverage it gave me so I went ahead and bought it anyways, hoping to be one of the lucky ones that doesn't break out from it. MY HOPES WERE SHATTERED WHEN I STARTED TO NOTICE HUGE ASS PIMPLES ON MY HAIRLINE! D: I was like OHNOOOO! So yeah, now I'm in the middle of salvaging my skin. :|

Btw, I'm also in the process of looking for a good facial cleanser. My current one is for acne and once my acne has cleared up, I believe I'll need a regular facial cleanser for everyday use. I also want a recommendation for a good night cream as well :) So if you girls already have your HG facial cleanser and night cream, LET ME KNOWWWWW! =)
